'InTouch computerized receipting is awesome! I work in the district business office/accounting and use the features of InTouch all the time and don’t even receipt revenue! Locating a student for an NSF or refund and being able to obtain the correct parent address; running reports by revenue code; and, of course, running the deposit summary reports from my workstation daily. This has completely eliminated sending reports back and forth through district mail. Since I have the ability to run the reports myself I no longer have to call our bookkeepers for clarification, I can usually obtain the information I require by looking up the detail in InTouch.

A student history is available anytime a parent requests the information. A single check can be split between different district funds. Lists are available for field trips, sales, fines, sports, accounts, etc. The district bookkeepers are also athletic secretaries, no additional help has been required. No more hand receipting or making lists by hand, a miracle!

Eleven years ago I contacted HD Baker with a request for a receipting system that could be used by bookkeepers that would eliminate the need for them to maintain a student card file and keep track of revenue. An HD Baker product was being used in a HS student store at the time, at the advisor’s suggestion I contacted HD Baker and the rest is history!! InTouch, a windows system, was installed as soon as it became available. One of the biggest advantages of a computerized receipting system is that money collection has been completely centralized and removed from the teaching staff.'

'I can’t say enough good things about this program. Easy to learn, easy to use, fast and accurate!! All information at your fingertips!! On 8/29 we did $7200.95 in ASB in four hours, on 8/30, $11,629.47 and on 8/31, $7,733.50 and not one penny off!! Deposits are quick and easy and to do and 99.9% of the time my money is exact. If it’s not exact, it’s pretty easy to track down and correct your mistake. That is with one terminal. If your school is bigger, you might have 2 or more terminals registering students. At any time I can call up their history, take care of fines left over from last year, print a list of paid sports fees for any of the coaches, and print a list of who’s paid to order their spirit packs and soccer jackets. Anything you want to keep track of that students do, you can track on (InTouch). This program is fantastic when you have a parent standing in front of you swearing that they already paid for such and such. I can call up the student’s history and tell the parent the date, amount and category of exactly that they purchased…….. It’s so nice to have all this documentation to follow the money trail. The auditors love this program!!'

'As a third party project coordinator for the Evergreen School District I have managed the HD Baker point of sale system (Superstore) at 10 sites with 15 registers and accounting upload of detailed data to our general ledger for over 5 years. The product and support have not failed us even when power issues have suddenly brought the system down or when the systems were temporarily moved for special events. HD Baker has provided both phone and on site support and worked with our information technology department to meet our needs around our infrastructure. We are currently in the process of converting to the new InTouch system where we will expect to enhance the site processes and operations with the same standard of service we’ve come to know over the last five years.'

'My first realization of just how much more efficient the Intouch system is was at our Wolf Pack Days in August. Each year our school schedules 2 days where students can come in to pick up schedules, have pictures taken and pay fees and fines. In past years I was working until 11:30 p.m. or 12:00 a.m.. This year I was balanced out after a $25,000.00 day at 8:30 p.m.. I wondered why the time difference, so I paid attention on the second day of Wolf Pack Days and found out that each transaction take approximately 1/2 the time to process. Once again I was finished and out by 9:00 p.m. on day 2 of Wolf Pack Days. I am also amazed at how I get the students through long lines. It used to take me to 3:30 p.m. or 4 p.m. to get the dance tickets sold on the last day of ticket sales, now with my new system I’m done and closing at my normal 3:00 p.m. shut down time. I have enjoyed using the system and would recommend it to any potential InTouch system purchaser.'

'Issaquah School District has been using HD Baker products for 10 years ~ first with Super Store and then with the Windows based "In Touch" software. In Touch has been easy to learn and my ASB/GF Secretaries are very happy with the product, the reports, the fine module, and the touch screen. This is also a great system to monitor good internal controls for cash receipting.

I want the receipting lines to run smoothly and quickly, especially during the week of registration, and In Touch allows this to happen; parents write one check and the program "deposits" the revenue into the general fund and ASB accounts. I have been uploading receipts from 14 schools, the Administration building, and the Transportation Dept for many years and it is a very easy operation into the Skyward WESPac fiscal system of which Issaquah was the Beta site.

I troubleshoot most of the software issues with In Touch in our district, but the HD Baker staff has been very responsive when we have had a problem. We have been a part of "user" group meetings over the years and Arnold and his team are continually working to make a great product even better as we expand to use the Student Store and Athletic/Activities modules.'

'Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the In-Touch system at the District office so far. Today I was able to pull a summary report for all locations by account code, split by fund. This is EXACTLY what I was hoping to be able to do with this system. This will save us the time we have been spending entering data into a spreadsheet, keeping it balanced, reconciling it to the bank statement, etc. We can now just pull that report for all locations on the last day of each month. We will no longer need to enter each individual receipt for funds accepted here at the District office. We are all very excited about the capabilities we have not even tapped into yet.'
